Happy 10th Founding Anniversary Daluhasaang kong mahal (Baliwag Polytechnic College)
I am very honored to stand before you not as a master of ceremonies like what I’ve always been before during my undergraduate days, nor a performer, but a licensed professional educator and hopefully a full-fledged MAED degree holder by 2019.
Baliwag Polytechnic College really played a pivotal role in my life. To be honest I never thought that I will be able to finish my college degree because of our financial struggles 7 years ago. It has never occurred to me that Baliwag Polytechnic College will be my Alma Mater, because my real dream was to study in a prestigious university in Manila. Ironically, my family just makes both ends meet in order to support our needs back then that’s why my dream never became a reality.
My parents told me that if I really want to continue my study in college, my only choice is to enroll in BTECH. Which I did and after 4 years I graduated with flying colors. Yes I am happy to say that I never expected that BTECH will help me unleash my skills and boost my talents to its full potential, not just as a follower but more so as a leader.
Because of the quality education being offered at BTECH. Not to mention the roster of LET passers from BTECH. I easily got my first teaching job at Montessori De Sagarada Familia. I am very proud of this achievement because during my time and up until now MDSF is known for its high standards when it comes to hiring new teachers. I was very gratified to be one of them.
At the age of 24, I really thought that teaching will be, the be all and end all of my career. However, when opportunity knocks, it knocks not just in your front door but also through your windows, back door, and even in your cupboard. Kidding aside, the biggest blessing came to me this year. I was chosen to be the principal of a humble school in Brgy. Sulivan, Baliwag, Bulacan (Catholic Servants of Christ Community School). Though very much different from teaching, I can proudly say that I was able to get on my feet as my new administrative tasks are challenging yet rewarding, because of how BTECH has molded me to be who I am now.
As the cliche goes, “Once a teacher, always a teacher”. I myself don’t know what kind of potion teaching has on me. Alongside my administrative tasks, I am also a part-time college instructor in my very own Alma Mater (BTECH), for four years now. I can render this part-time job in any school, but I chose BTECH because I feel like it’s my time to give back and offer what I have learned over the years to my fellow BTECHenyos and hopefully be an inspiration to them, and show them that “A man’s station is only limited by his imagination”- a line from my favorite movie, The Greatest Showman.
Because of BTECH my life has changed.
Without BTECH I am nothing. I owe all my simple achievements to God, to my parents, to my teachers and beloved professors, at sa DALUBHASAAN KONG MAHAL ang BALIWAG POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE.
Dahil sa BTECH gumanda ang buhay ko! Dahil sa BTECH may matino akong trabaho! Dahil sa BTECH may magandang buhay akong maipamamana sa mga magiging anak at apo ko.
Ang Baliwag Polytechnic College ay patuloy na mamayagpag sa larangan ng edukasyon hindi lamang sa bayan ng Baliwag kung di sa mga karatig pa nitong bayan sa loob at labas ng lalawigan ng Bulacan. Ang Baliwag Polytechnic College ay patuloy na lilikha ng mga matitino at mahuhusay na mga propesyunal.
Baliwag Polytechnic College kami ay nangangako, na patuloy kaming tatahak, susubok, at magbabalik para sa tagumpay o tanghal ng ilaw. Para sayo, sa bayan, at sa Diyos.
